We’ve done the heavy lifting for you, finding and vetting the best babysitters in the area.

Our transparent fee structure keeps things simple and stress-free!

  • Shoreline Sitters Membership Terms & Conditions  Membership Overview 

    • Membership is includes two, four, or eight agency fee booking credits each calendar month depending on level of membership.

    • A booking credit covers the agency fee for one sitter booking. Families are still responsible for the sitter’s hourly rate (paid directly to sitter).  

    Booking & Availability 

    • Members receive priority booking access for dates. Dates can be day or night.

    • Reservations must be requested at least 5 days in advance to guarantee best availability. 

    • While we make every effort to fulfill all requests, membership does not guarantee availability on all dates.  

    Blackout Dates 

    • Major holidays and peak times may be excluded from membership coverage due to high demand. 

    • On blackout dates, members may still book sitters by paying the standard holiday agency fee.  

    Rollover Credits 

    • If Shoreline Sitters is unable to fill your requested date (so long as you gave 5 days notice), you will receive a rollover credit valid for up to 3 months. 

    • Unused credits do not roll over unless we cannot fill your request and proper notice was given.  

    Cancellations 

    • If you cancel a booked date less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, the booking will be forfeited, and no rollover credit will be issued. 

    • Our standard $40 cancellation fee still applies for cancellations within 24 hours of start.  

    Membership Billing & Cancellation 

    • Memberships are billed automatically on a monthly basis. Your first month will be charged upon signing and clicking the "save" button within the membership section of your profile. If you book on the 13th of this month, then you will be billed on the 13th of the next month and so on and so forth.

    • You may cancel your membership at any time; however, cancellation must occur before your next billing cycle to avoid charges. You will be able to cancel by scrolling to the bottom of your profile where payments are logged, and clicking on the red "cancel" button.

    • Membership fees are non-refundable.  

    Additional Notes 

    • Membership does not replace sitter hourly rates, which remain the responsibility of the family. 

    • Shoreline Sitters reserves the right to adjust membership terms as needed. Members will be notified of changes in advance.

  • Package Overview

    • Packages are pre-paid bundles of agency fee credits designed to make regular date nights(or days!) simple and affordable.

    • Each credit covers the agency fee for one sitter booking. Families remain responsible for sitter hourly rates.

    Booking & Availability

    • Bookings are subject to sitter availability. To ensure the best chance of securing your preferred date, families should request sitters at least 5 days in advance.

    • Packages provide convenience and savings but do not guarantee sitter availability for all requested dates.

    Blackout Dates

    • Packages are not valid on major holidays or peak times (e.g., New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving weekend).

    • Families may still book sitters on blackout dates by paying the holiday agency fee.

    Credit Usage & Expiration

    • Each package credit is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.

    • Unused credits will expire at the end of the validity period and are non-refundable.

    • If Shoreline Sitters is unable to fill a booking request, the credit will remain available until the package expiration date.

    Cancellations

    • If a family cancels a confirmed booking less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, the credit will be forfeited and our standard $40 cancellation fee will apply.

    • If Shoreline Sitters cannot provide a sitter, the credit will be returned to the family’s account for future use (within the expiration window).

    Billing & Refund Policy

    • Packages must be paid in full at the time of purchase.

    • All sales are final and non-refundable.

    • Credits are non-transferable and may only be used by the purchasing family.

    Additional Notes

    • Families are responsible for paying sitter hourly rates directly to the sitter.

    • Shoreline Sitters reserves the right to update package pricing or policies with prior notice to families.


Membership and Packages FAQ

  • If you have not created a profile for your family, you will need to do that first by clicking “Book Now” and submitting the form. Don’t worry—nothing gets charged when you submit your form. Then, you can login to your profile using your email address as both username and password the first time. Once you’re in, you can click the pencil next to either the Membership section or Date Night Packages section to click what you want, read terms and conditions, and sign. Once you click “Save”, your purchase is complete!

  • In your profile above the calendar in the section called “Booking:On-call jobs”, just under the title you will see “__ booking credits left.” When you create a booking request, it will automatically use your booking credit for the agency booking fee of $30. You will see this at the bottom of your booking request form.

    If you are a member you will see 2 new credits there every month.

  • Yes, you can! You do this by scrolling to the “Payment Information” section of your profile and clicking on “cancel” next to your membership. Just be sure to do this before your next billing cycle.

  • No. The only time membership booking credits roll over is when you request a sitter with at least 5 days notice, and we are not able to meet your needs. In that case, the booking credit for that booking request could roll over to the next month.

  • The membership renews monthly on the date on which you originally signed up. So, if you sign up on September 9th for a monthly membership, you will be billed monthly on the 9th of each month.

Commonly Asked Questions

  • Not necessarily! This is when the packages come into play. You can use the packages to save big on multiple bookings.

  • Nope! The registration fee of $35 is only charged one time upon creating your profile and being matched with your first sitter. It helps us cover extensive background checking for sitters and maintain our integral software. All future bookings will only be charged for the daily agency fee and hourly sitter rates.

  • Life happens! We know that things come up. You can always cancel if you need to. If you do, you will not be responsible for paying the daily agency fee or any hourly payments to the babysitter. Your registration fee is non-refundable. Should you cancel with <24 hours notice, we charge a $40 cancellation fee that ultimately goes to the babysitter who may have lost out on another job. We appreciate your understanding in these matters.

  • Holidays are considered: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, New Year’s Day, and Valentine’s Day.

    If you book a sitter on one of these holidays, there is an extra $10 added to the hourly rate for each sitter and the daily agency fee (e.g., one child hourly rate becomes $33/hr and daily agency fee $40/day).

  • Yes! You need to upload a local ID to your profile and your registration fee will be waved!

  • Yes! We require one sitter for every three children, keeping safety in mind. This means that if you have more than 3 children that need care, a second sitter would need to be hired. The same caregiver rates apply to each sitter. The agency fee is $30/day for 1 sitter, with an additional $20/day for each additional sitter requested or required.
